Battleground Democrat Senate Nominees Marsh and Schwiebert Debut Cable Ads
Representative Judy Schwiebert, Senator Christine Marsh to hit Phoenix cable channels with less than 10 days until start of early voting
Phoenix, Ariz. – This weekend, LD2 Democratic Senate nominee Representative Judy Schwiebert and LD4 Democratic Senate nominee Senator Christine Marsh debuted ads that began airing on cable television stations in the Phoenix market. The ads support the Democratic nominees running in two of the most competitive legislative districts in Arizona, which could prove decisive for which party takes control of the chamber come January.
Both ads highlight the common sense positions of Representative Schwiebert and Senator Marsh and draw a contrast between their views and those of their opponents.
Representative Schwiebert’s ad highlights Shawnna Bolick’s extreme record, including trying to classify abortion as murder. The ad contrasts Bolick’s out-of-touch policies with Representative Schwiebert’s moderate stance on issues like education funding.
Senator Marsh’s ad highlights the extreme positions of Carine Werner, including her desire to overturn the results of the 2020 election and support for banning abortions. The ad then continues with a contrast highlighting Senator Marsh’s endorsement by the Arizona Police Association and support for reproductive rights and improving education funding.
“Voters have a choice between continuing the reign of extremism Republicans have prioritized over Arizonans' freedoms - or they can vote for common sense leaders like Rep. Schwiebert and Senator Marsh,” said ADLCC Executive Director Elsa O’Callaghan. “Marsh and Schwiebert are experienced, dedicated, and strong leaders who always put their communities first. Our investment today is just one of many ways we're making sure voters learn the truth and in fewer than 10 days, Arizona voters will decide.”
