Automated Technologies

We and our service providers and contractors may use cookies, web beacons, and other technologies (collectively, “Automated Technologies”) to receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with our Website through your computer or mobile device to improve the quality of our services, including for storing user preferences, tracking user trends, and providing relevant advertising to you.

  • What are cookies? A cookie is a small file containing a string of characters that is sent to your computer when you visit a website. When you visit our Website again, the cookie allows our Website to recognize your browser. Cookies may store unique identifiers, user preferences, and other information. Cookies can be set by a website owner like ADLCC or they can be set by third parties (e.g., Facebook, Google, etc.). Third-party cookies may also be used to enable analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) or advertising functionality (e.g., ad re-targeting on third-party websites) that enables more customized services and advertising by tracking your interaction with a website and collecting information about how you use the website.

  • What are web beacons? Web beacons are small electronic files (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) on webpages that permit a website owner like ADLCC to, for example, count users who have visited those pages and collect other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain website content and verifying system and server integrity). Pixels may also be used by website owners like ADLCC and our service providers and contractors to reach out to you about our services after you leave our site.

The information we collect through Automated Technologies may or may not contain Personal Information about you. This information helps us to improve our Website by enabling us to do things like estimate our audience size and usage patterns; store information about your preferences to customize our Website according to your individual interests; speed up your searches; recognize you when you return to our Website; and to support the other activities described in this Website Privacy Policy, such as Advertising.

You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you when a cookie is being sent. However, some Website features or services may not function properly without cookies. Please keep in mind that your browser settings may not permit you to control the technologies utilized by third-party companies. There are third-party companies that are unaffiliated with ADLCC who can provide you with more information about third-party advertising and your opt out choices, such as the Digital Advertising Alliance WebChoices Tool.

ADLCC may use the following Automated Technologies offered by our service providers and contractors to assist us with the following activities:

Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyze user activity. We may also use Google Analytics Advertising Features or other advertising networks to reach out to you again about our services after you leave our Website.

  • Facebook, Twitter and HubSpot Pixels. ADLCC may use pixels from social media sites, like Facebook or Twitter, so that we can reach out to you again if you permit these sites to display our advertisements to you. These pixels only send information about your use of our Website. We do not use these pixels to track your activity on other websites.

Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Website Privacy Policy.

Advertising

We may deliver to you content and marketing communications that we think may interest you. We may also use Automated Technologies (as described above) and information about how you browse our Website to show you advertisements (ads) for ADLCC. We may also send you ADLCC ads in response to your request for information or feedback. We do not collect your browsing information from third-party websites to display third-party ads to you.

You may opt out of receiving marketing emails from us by following the unsubscribe link in each email, or by emailing us at info@adlcc.com. You may also opt out of receiving SMS alerts by texting STOP at any time. You may continue to receive non-marketing communications from us after you opt-out.

Please note that the information you provide to us through our Website may not be secure (not encrypted). Email via the Internet or other electronic means, such as through your device’s text messaging service, may not be secure (not encrypted). There are risks associated with unsecure communications that you should consider. These risks include (without limitation) that an unauthorized person may get access to these communications. By engaging us in unsecure communications, you agree to accept these risks and consent to receive unsecure communications in response from us.
