The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly
Gov. Hobbs vetos Republicans attempt to limit access to the ballot
The Good:
This week Gov. Hobbs vetoed HB2703 a bill that would shorten early voting and would remove voters from the early voters list. We thank the Gov. for continuing to ensure that ALL Arizonans have access to the ballot.
The Bad:
Despite voters overwhelmingly supporting Prop139, Republicans continue their attacks on our reproductive rights.
During the House Judiciary Committee Rep. Rachel Keshel introduced bill HB2681. This bill would limit a person's access to contraceptives.
The Ugly:
Republicans in the House Appropriations Committee voted no on an amendment to protect funding for the Division of Developmental Disabilities. This amendment would have prevented massive cuts to programs and vital services that help developmentally disabled children and adults.
