MAGA Republicans made a clean sweep in legislative primaries solidifying GOP as the party of extremism in Arizona

PHOENIX, AZ – The MAGA-aligned Republicans have officially swept the state legislative primary. The results show that Republicans have chosen extremism, election denialism, and nominees that repeatedly have put the Republican party over Arizonans. 


In November, the battle for control of the state legislature will include head-to-head matchups in key districts, pitting radical right, Trump-endorsed candidates against strong Democrats with a plan to make life better for all Arizonans.


“After Tuesday’s primary election, the choice before Arizona voters is clear: a slate of Democratic candidates who prioritize finding common ground to get things done versus a radical right slate of Republican candidates replaying the 2020 election over and over and over again and more interested in Trump’s approval than in helping our state, our schools, and our economy,” said Senator Christine Marsh.
