Release: ADLCC Announces New Board Chair Assistant House Leader Jennifer Longdon and welcomes Executive Director Elsa O’Callaghan

The Board also welcomes members Representatives Melody Hernandez and Representative Morgan Abraham

PHOENIX, AZ – The Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee is proud to announce Assistant House Leader Jennifer Longdon has been elected ADLCC Board Chair. The ADLCC also brought on Elsa O'Callaghan as Executive Director and Representatives Melody Hernandez and Representative Morgan Abraham as board members.

“I am honored to be assuming the role of Board Chair during this exciting time for the ADLCC,” said Assistant Leader Longdon. “The ADLCC plays a critical role in supporting Democratic legislative candidates on their path to victory. This year, we are the closest to delivering a majority for Arizona Democrats since 1966. I am committed to ensuring that Legislative Democrats have the resources they need to win."

Elsa O'Callaghan formerly served as the Digital Director at the ADLCC during the 2018 and 2020 cycles and has returned to serve as the Executive Director. She previously has worked for the U.S. House of Representatives, Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, and has spent the last year consulting with down-ballot candidates across the country.

“We are thrilled to have Elsa leading the team at ADLCC. Her experience and dedication to legislative candidates in Arizona are exceptional assets to our organization,” said Assistant Leader Longdon.

As we move closer to a majority in the Arizona legislature, it's so important that we do everything we can to support Democratic legislative candidates,” said Representative Morgan Abraham. “I am proud to join the board to support, mentor, and uplift candidates and staff in some of the most crucial races this cycle.”

“The ADLCC is vital to mobilizing voters in key districts ensuring we get closer to flipping the legislature,” said Representative Melody Hernandez. “I am so honored to be joining them this cycle as a board member as they grow their organizing and staff capacity across our state.”
