Arizona Legislative Democrats Priorities Have Broad Popular Support

Lowering Costs, Education, and Water Top of Mind for Democrats and Arizona Voters

Phoenix, AZ – This week, Arizona Legislative Democrats unveiled their key priorities for the upcoming session. In stark contrast to Arizona Legislative Republicans’ neglect of voters’ priorities,  Democrats are committed to supporting issues that resonate with the concerns of the majority of Arizonans. 

  • Legislative Democrats’ top overall priority is lowering costs for all Arizonans, including prescription drug costs and housing costs. Addressing rising costs is supported by 88% of voters and increasing housing affordability is strongly supported by 68% of voters as indicated by polling data from the Center for the Future of Arizona.

  • One of legislative Democrats’ education priorities includes, in addition to improving educator pay, is ensuring full-day kindergarten. Increasing access and affordability of early learning for 3 and 4-year-olds  is supported by 78% of voters.

  • Protecting our water is also listed as a priority for legislative Democrats this session. Securing Arizona's water future and addressing our long-term drought is supported by 95% of our voters.
