In A Strategic Play for Democrats, Two-Term Incumbent Judy Schwiebert Gains Momentum in LD2

Phoenix, AZ – Representative Judy Schwiebert announced today that she has raised $81k in her bid for the State Senate in Legislative District 2. Rep. Judy Schwiebert, a two-term house incumbent, is running for the Senate in one of the key pick-up opportunities for Democrats. Legislative Democrats have a one-seat deficit in each chamber.

According to Representative Judy Schwiebert’s campaign, 97% of donors are from Arizona, signaling grassroots support from Arizonans with a deep desire to see a change in the majority. Small-dollar donors are powering the campaign, with 76% of donors contributing under $50.

Representative Judy Schwiebert expressed gratitude and appreciation for the outpouring of local support for her State Senate bid, saying, “This incredible show of support from Arizonans for my campaign is a testament to the enthusiasm on the ground for a new majority. As a legislator, I have been fighting to lower costs for families, give educators a raise, and put a stop to abortion bans. With Arizona’s help, I’m ready to take my fight to the Senate with a new majority that works for everyone.”

“Judy Schwiebert has proven time and time again to be a dedicated public servant who puts the values of her community above all else. Her leadership is inspiring to voters – and she has consistently championed the issues that matter most to Arizonans. This level of support from Arizonans is indicative of the broader movement to move Arizona in a new direction,” said Elsa O’Callaghan, Executive Director of the Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee. “Arizona is ready for a Democratic trifecta.”
