Protect Trans Youth

Arizona’s radical Republicans, like Senators Nancy Barto, Wendy Rogers, and Kelly Townsend, continue their attack on trans youth. This week they voted in favor of SB1138, a bill that outlaws gender affirming care for trans youth in the Senate Health and Human Services committee. Thanks to a packed room of supportive parents, trans adults, and trans youth who testified against this bill in committee, it failed to receive a due pass recommendation from the committee.

Arizona kids deserve a state legislature that allows them to access the medical care they need. That’s why we must deliver a Democratic majority this November. Can you chip in $10 today?

According to the Harvard Law Review, experts conclude that, "'protecting' trans youth requires allowing them to access medical care that permits them to live according to their own definitions of themselves." [1]
