Release: Arizona Battleground Legislative Program Launches Fundraising Video

The Seeds: “We’ve been organizing for this moment, but we can’t do it alone.”—Sen. Rebbeca Rios

PHOENIX — Today, the ADLCC launched “Seeds,” a video that focuses on the importance of electing sound, commonsense leadership at the Arizona Legislature. Arizona Republicans have morphed into the party of extremist devotion to Donald Trump. As Republicans failed to listen to voters, they paid for it, losing 14 seats over the last 10 years. Now, with the slimmest possible margins, the ADLCC is developing the playbook to win Democratic majorities in the Arizona State House and Senate.

With the March announcement of Arizona’s “battleground” status, the ADLCC has shattered fundraising records and is primed to run one of its most successful cycles since its foundation.

“Arizonans were ready to turn the page on extremism when they helped elect President Joe Biden,” said Liz Luna, Executive Director of the ADLCC. “But Arizona Republicans aren’t listening to voters, they’re listening to Donald Trump and his extremist supporters. Democrats in Arizona are fighting to keep schools open safely and help small businesses recover from the global pandemic. We’re ready to get to work to elect those that fight for the public interest.”

Biography of the ADLCC

The Arizona Democratic Campaign Committee is the state’s battleground program. Founded in 2015, the ADLCC has led the campaigns that have resulted in 7 victories in key swing districts since 2016. At the beginning of the decade, Republicans had a supermajority in both chambers of the legislature, and now, thanks in part to ADLCC, Democrats have the closest margins since 1966.
