BREAKING: Member of “PayPal Mafia” Spends Over $2 Million to Smear Battleground Democrats in Arizona

Arizona — Big Tech investor Scott Banister, who, along with Elon Musk and Peter Thiel, is part of the “PayPal Mafia,” is wading into down-ballot competitive races in Arizona. Banister is pouring millions into field operations directly against Democratic candidates. His latest spending of $2,167,335 through “Make Liberty Win” will fund negative attacks against Democratic candidates in all battleground legislative districts, including LD 17, LD 4, LD 9, and others. 

“This is the same tired playbook we’ve seen in recent years, with billionaires blowing millions of dollars trying to buy elections,” said ADLCC Board Co-Chair Rep. Oscar De Los Santos. “Republicans know they don’t have a record they can run on, so they’re spending millions of dollars on scare tactics and baseless smear tactics.”
