Arizona Republican Party Sues to End Early Voting

After Bob Dole lost the presidential race in 1996, the AZGOP adopted the early, mail-in voting that 89-percent of all voters rely on. The current Arizona Republican Party, upset about the “stolen” election, has decided the policy will no longer serve their voter suppression agenda. Last week, they filed a lawsuit in the state Supreme Court that would end the same early voting system that they created in 1997.

Democrats have spent the last year fighting to protect our democracy in Arizona from bills in the legislature that harm our freedom to vote, we’ve filed lawsuits to stop the overturning of our election, and we continue to create ways for voters to engage. Can you donate $10 today to help elect a Democratic majority in the State House and State Senate that will work hard to defend and strengthen our democracy?
