Kyle Clayton

Born and raised in Legislative District 27, Kyle Clayton is a lifelong Arizonan dedicated to building stronger, safer, and more affordable communities. Today, he’s raising his own family in the district — with one child enrolled in the Washington Elementary School District (WESD) — and working every day to make Arizona a better place to live, learn, and grow.

As a full-time Realtor®, Kyle brings an analytical, data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making. His professional experience has taught him the importance of transparency, integrity, and advocating tirelessly for others — principles he carries into his public service.

Since 2023, Kyle has served his community on the Washington Elementary School District Governing Board, where he currently leads as Board President. In that role, he’s helped improve student attendance, championed continued investment in arts and athletics, and guided the district through a major leadership transition — always with a focus on students and families first.

Kyle’s commitment to community goes beyond the classroom. As a member of the Shaw Butte Neighborhood Alliance, he’s helped secure more than $250,000 in local investments, planted over 300 trees, and organized events that bring neighbors together. His track record proves he knows how to collaborate, build coalitions, and deliver results.

Kyle believes that leadership is about listening and service — not partisanship. Whether it’s advocating for public education, lowering costs for working families, or ensuring fiscal responsibility, Kyle is ready to bring pragmatic, people-first leadership to the Arizona Senate.

Deborah Howard

I am running for the state house in Legislative District 27 because I believe public service is about solving real problems, bringing people together, and delivering results for all voters. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, I began my career in Washington, D.C., serving at the U.S. Department of Labor after being appointed by President Ronald Reagan. Throughout my career, including leadership roles with AARP, I have helped organizations communicate effectively, build consensus, and achieve meaningful results for people from all backgrounds. After moving to Arizona, a breast cancer diagnosis deepened my commitment to serving my community and protecting the values I believe make Arizona strong. I have helped lead efforts to lower costs, defend voting rights, strengthen public education, and protect individual liberty. Unlike my opponent, Lisa Fink, I am running to be a representative who listens, works across differences, and focuses on practical solutions that get costs under control, create good-paying jobs and affordable housing, and ensure quality health care options for Arizona families.
