I’ve spent my life in LD2 as a mom, teacher, listener, and leader. I know and share the priorities of our district. This is my home.
I was deeply honored to be elected as your State Representative in 2020. I've continued to listen and work together to address the issues that are important to you and your family. In my first term, I directed federal dollars to preschool programs for at-risk children and families and sponsored a bi-partisan adult education bill to allow Arizonans to lift themselves out of poverty, and provide employers with an educated workforce.
This past session, I sponsored bills to increase salaries for all educators without raising a penny in taxes, increase the supply of school counselors, and address student and community safety. I’ve sponsored legislation to improve healthcare by making genetic testing available to help prevent cancer and by capping prescription drug prices. Lastly, I have worked to address the housing and homelessness crisis by prioritizing investments in affordable and emergency housing, and protecting condo owners from losing their homes to out-of-state corporations.
As someone who shares your priorities, I will always put people first, not politics.

Stephanie Simacek
Stephanie was raised in Oregon, where her teachers instilled in her a passion for education. In 2014, she made Arizona home, and the mother of two began teaching first graders in the Deer Valley School District. Teaching was both rewarding and challenging and reaffirmed her belief in the power of education to transform lives. As a strong advocate for her community, her dedication continues while she champions for students as a Deer Valley Governing Board Member. Now it is time to do more for her district and Stephanie would be honored to represent the residents of LD2 in the state legislature.
